FLINT SERVE DAY – AUGUST 10

Make a difference in the lives of hurting people in Flint!

August 10, volunteers just like you will care for hurting communities in Flint, MI by serving local churches, bivocational pastors, low-income schools and other organizations in need of assistance. Projects may include some light construction, painting and landscaping, hosting sports camps or block parties.

By partnering with the Baptist State Convention of Michigan and Genesee Baptist Association, Send Relief is making it easy for you and your team to have a lasting impact on the lives of Flint’s most vulnerable.

There are several opportunities to participate in. Most opportunities are for all ages so your family is welcome to serve. We can’t wait to be a part of making a difference!

Saturday August 10th – 6:30am-8:30pm **Lunch and Dinner provided.

Steps for Registering:

  1. Sign Up through Mile City
  2. Answer the questions about the serve opportunities
  3. Once you sign up through Mile City, you will get an email from Send Relief where you will need to complete a registration through the organization.
  4. We will contact you with more information about a team huddle and carpool details.

Current Serve Opportunities: Community Food Distribution (All Ages) – Eastgate Baptist Church has an ongoing ministry to help provide meals quarterly for a low-income apartment complex that exists across from the church facilities.

Sleep In Heavenly Peace (Ages 12+) – Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a ministry that builds and delivers bunk beds to children and families in need.

Neighborhood Grill Walk (All Ages) – Volunteers will serve with Mt. Carmel to hand out fresh food off the grill and connect with and care for the people around their community.

I’ll Do Anything! (Ages 12+) – You are willing to be placed at any project that could use some extra hands.
