We believe God created us to be in a relationship with Him and to be like Him in character. However He didn’t create us to be robots. This created the option to go against God and his ways also known as sin. This sin has separated us from God, broken our relationship with Him and there is nothing we can do on our own effort to reestablish it.
Genesis 1:27; Genesis 3:6; Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 3:23
We believe in one eternal God that has created all things. He exists in three equal distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth to reveal how much God loves humanity. He lived a sinless-perfect life, which made Him the perfect sacrifice to take on the sins of the world through his death on a cross. Three days later he changed everything by rising from the dead, defeating sin and death. After appearing to many witnesses He ascended into heaven and has promised one day to return to earth to fulfill Gods eternal plan.
Psalm 90:2; Genesis 1:1, 1:26-27; Colossians 1:16; John 1:1-5, 16:13; Hebrews 4:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Titus 2:13
We believe the Bible, as a whole is the inspired word of God without error. It is like a road map to guide us through this life. It is not just any book; it is the source of Truth that it is alive and living. We believe there is a pulse in the pages and it has the ability to transform any person’s life.
Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5
We believe salvation is offered freely as a gift, only from God. This gift of grace is Jesus Christ. We receive this gift by placing our faith in His death and resurrection; believing that His work on the cross was sufficient payment to forgive us from all of our sins.
John 1:12, 3:16, 14:6; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
We believe Baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is an outward expression, of an inward commitment. It’s going public with our faith, declaring to the world that we have received Jesus as our Savior. It demonstrates our love and obedience to Him.
Colossians 2:12; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 16:31-33
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. Those who are members of the church are those who have placed their faith in the work of Jesus Christ. All parts of the body are valuable and should work together in unity to use their God-given ability to benefit the entire body. The purpose of the church is to give God glory and to carry out Gods work throughout the world.
Matthew 16:18-19; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Acts 2:41-47; Ephesians 1:22-23; Revelation 21:2-3
We believe communion is a meal of remembrance. It is a symbol of the new covenant, representing the body and blood of Jesus Christ that paid the debt for the sins of the world. This is a meal only for believers and should never be taken in an irreverent manner.
Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
Where we live, work, eat, shop, play and go to school is not by accident. God wants to use each of us in specific, unique, creative ways to reach people that are in our sphere of influence.
Everything that we have comes from God. Together we gather a percentage of our income to help build the local church to make a difference in our city. Over 10% of every dollar given to Mile City goes directly to help plant churches in North America and around the globe.
God has given each of us the gift of time and the gift of our talents. He desires us to use those gifts to help build the local church to make an impact in this city.
This is a leader that is intentionally pouring into someone that is at a younger stage of life. This is a one on one relationship that helps a person on their spiritual journey with God.
This is an intentional one on one relationship from a person that is at an older stage of life, pouring into us on a regular basis.
Life is a race and this race of life is not meant to be run alone. That is why we have created City Groups. The vision for City Groups is simple. Run with God; run with others. Because running together is better!
God wants to have a relationship with us and that means interacting with us on a daily basis. We connect with Him though prayer, scripture reading, and reflection.
When we begin the race by putting our faith in Jesus, then it is time for us to go public with our faith through water Baptism.
