Our church is looking for a Kids City Assistant to join our Next Generation team. This role partners closely with the Kids City Director to create an exciting, safe, and Christ-centered ministry for children and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Help lead and oversee Sunday morning Kids City experiences.
- Recruit, train, encourage, and care for Kids City volunteers.
- Assist with scheduling volunteer teams and classroom coverage.
- Partner with the Kids City Director to plan and execute special events, family experiences, and Kids Camp.
- Help prepare curriculum, supplies, and classrooms for weekly ministry.
- Build relationships with children, parents, and volunteers.
- Ensure safety policies and check-in procedures are followed.
- Assist with communication through email, social media, and ministry updates.
- Step into leadership when the Kids City Director is unavailable.
- Help create a welcoming, fun, and life-giving environment where every child feels seen, loved, and valued.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Loves children and believes in investing in the next generation.
- Is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Is a team player with strong communication skills.
- Can recruit, encourage, and develop volunteers.
- Has experience serving or leading in children’s ministry (preferred).
- Is flexible, positive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
- Supports the mission, vision, and values of our church.
Schedule
This position is part-time (15 hours/week) which includes Sunday mornings, weekly office hours, occasional evenings, and special events throughout the year.
