> The weather, though inconsistent, is starting to break, and the calendar says March 16th already! It’s time to start thinking SOFTBALL! Some of you many be aware last year was the return of Softball to Mile City! We joined the MAGAA League and played on various fields throughout Hines Park on Monday evenings. Last year, we finished in 5th place out of 9 teams. We played double headers, with the first game beginning at 6:00p. Last year we had a lot of interested, but with the time constraints we had, we did not have the time (or room on a roster) to open the opportunity to a larger audience. We expect to have many return players this year, and due to the interest we had last year, we are expecting enough interested to field two teams. We need to commit to the number of teams we plan to have this year as soon as possible! We will be playing in the same league this year. We will be playing at the same place this year. We will be playing at the same time this year. The MAGAA League, Hines Park with the 1st game starting at 6:00p and the second game following. Games are 7 innings and will not last longer than 75 minutes each. Details to help you decide! > > - The cost: $50 to $60 per player. This covers the cost of balls, fields and umpires and the required liability insurance for Wayne County Parks permits. > - The season is 7 weeks. 7 Double Headers for a total of 14 games. > - The first game is expected to be (weather dependent) on May 11th or May 18th. > > As mentioned, we expect we will have two teams.
